People, who for serious health reasons have a medical certificate of exemption, given free of charge by the health authority in the area of their residence, are exempt from the use of seat belts.
This medical certificate shall state the expiration date, contain a symbol itself (a dummy with a seatbelt) and should be shown to controlling authorities whenever it is requested.
- For professional reasons
Taxi drivers, drivers of police vehicles and fire department vehicles as well as firefighters and law enforcement officers transported in those vehicles are exempted from wearing seat belts.
